Hand-Carved.
Formline Forever.
Oasis Designs Woodcrafts — heirloom stools, formline panels, and Haida-inspired wood art carved by hand. One artist. One bench. No two pieces alike.
The Craft
Pacific Northwest Tradition,
Carved in the California Desert
Every piece begins as a single block of solid hardwood — walnut, oak, mesquite, maple. Mark Lowe sketches each formline by hand, carves with chisel and gouge, then finishes with hand-rubbed oil. No CNC. No shortcuts. Just forty years of muscle memory and reverence for the art form.

Signature Piece
The Haida Stool
Our signature offering. Each stool is hand-carved from a single hardwood blank, the formline drawn freehand and chiseled into the seat. Walnut, oak, or mesquite — finished in hand-rubbed oil that deepens with every passing year.
- Solid hardwood — walnut, oak, mesquite
- Hand-drawn & hand-carved formline
- Hand-rubbed oil finish, no lacquer
- Signed & dated by Mark Lowe
The Philosophy
"Every line I carve is a conversation with the cedar forests I grew up in. The wood remembers — my job is to listen."
— Mark Lowe, Founder · Salt Spring Island → Sky Valley
